Andrew Andy M. White

He was a beloved son, brother, uncle and friend who will be sorely missed by those left behind.

Andy was born March 14, 1959 in Chardon, OH. the son of Jeanette Beardsley White Phillips of Columbus, IN. and the late Bruce White.

Surviving with his mother is his younger sister, Ellen (Jerry) Norfrey and a niece, Krystil Norfrey all of Columbus, IN.

Along with his father, Andy was also preceded in death by his step-father, Charles Phillips.

Andy was a 1979 graduate of Columbus East High School. Following graduation Andy enlisted in the United States Army. He was honorably discharged in 1990 after serving as a light duty mechanic in the 101st Airborne Unit out of Fort Campbell, KY. Part of his military career included a two year stint in the local Army Reserve and after his discharge he served in the National Guard.

Andy had been employed locally at Parkside Court, Holiday Inn and Impact Forge.

The funeral service celebrating the life of Andy will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at Myers-Reed Chapel on 25th St. with Pastor Bob Reeves officiating.

Calling hours will be from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. on Monday, January 30, 2012 and from 12:00 noon until the time of the service at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday.

Burial will be at the Garland Brook Cemetery with military graveside rites presented by members of the Bartholomew County Veterans Color Guard.

Memorial contributions may be made to Human Services Food Bank, Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Bartholomew County or Special Olympics Bartholomew-Brown-Jennings in Andy’s honor.
