Barbara R. Ballman

Barbara was born in Greensburg, Indiana October 9, 1931, the daughter of Ralph and Dema Waldroff Nugent. She married Harold E. Ballman November 22, 1953 at the Westport Baptist Church; he preceded her in death April 3, 2012.

She was very active for many years in the Girl Scouts and was active in various church groups. She was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels.

She is survived by daughter, Linda (Stu Vickers) Ballman of Terre Haute; sons, Troy (Stephanie Marcy) Ballman of Piedmont, SC and Mark (Shari) Ballman of Columbus; grandchildren, Ryan (Katie Massoth) Ballman, Travis (Sarah) Ballman, Jeremy (Crystal) Ballman, Tyler (Tammy) Ballman, Daniel (Jennifer) Ballman; great grandchildren, Grant, Hudson, Briley and Mason Ballman, Shilee and Damian Pedigo, Cherokee and Dakota Peden and Sunny White.

Preceded in death by parents; husband; sisters, Phyllis Byard and Maxine Martin; brothers, Richard and Eugene Nugent.

Funeral service 2:00 p.m. Saturday Myers~Reed Chapel on 25th Street with Pastor Mark Hammel officiating. Calling Friday 4-7 p.m. and from 1p.m. Saturday to service time. Burial in Garland Brook Cemetery. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.myers-reed.com.
