Betty L. Bailey

She was born in Hope, Indiana April 27, 1929 the daughter of Ross “Dick” and Dorothy Updike Tetrick. She married Charles D. “Bud” Bailey December 20, 1963 in Taylorsville; he preceded her in death July 5, 1996.

Betty enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren; she collected thimbles, like working crossword puzzles and watching Pacers Basketball games.

She is survived by sons, Larry (Dottie) Bledsoe of Columbus and Dave (Becky) Bailey of Nicholasville, KY; sister, Druscilla (Oscar) Huntsman of Westport, In; grandchildren, Mike (Kelly) Bledsoe of Columbus and Samantha (Jimmy) Rose of Nicholasville, KY; great grandchildren, Blair and Bailey Bledsoe of Columbus and Audrey Fraddosio of Nicholasville, Ky.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Debbi Schisler.

Funeral service will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Friday at Myers~Reed Chapel on 25th Street with Larry Detwiler officiating. Calling from 10:00 a.m. to service time Friday at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Garland Brook Cemetery. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.myers-reed.com.
