

Charles Wayne Scrogham, 81, of Westport, passed away on Sunday, December 1, 2024 at Arbor Grove Village in Greensburg. Mr. Scrogham was born June 2, 1943 in Columbus, to Omer and Mary (Ferguson) Scrogham.
Charles was a long-haul truck driver for over 30 years. He enjoyed seeing the country, especially the mountains. After he retired from driving, he became a security officer for many years.
Charlie loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, camping, or just walks in the woods. He could always be found working in the garden or just tinkering around. He had to stay busy. He was also a family man and loved all of his family very much.
He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Sandra “Kay” (Burns) Scrogham; children, Roselyn (Eric) Long of Seymour, Janet (Eddie) Feldman of Greensburg, and James Hibbs of Westport; brothers, Darrell (Kathy) Scrogham of Tennessee, and Marvin (Lois) Scrogham of Indiana; sisters, Annabelle (Jerry) Gibson of Greeneville, TN, Carolyn (Richard) Caswell of Florida, and Mildred Blair of Columbus; grandchildren, Jeremy (Joanna) Climer of Colorado, Clayton Long (fiancé, Skyley Mosier) of Colorado, Connor Long of Ft. Wayne, Michelle (John) Mercer of Hope, and Shayla Hibbs of Elizabethtown. Also surviving are ten great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Omer Scrogham, Jr., Jim Scrogham, and Tom Scrogham; sisters, Patricia Scrogham, and Shirley Blair; a son, Shane Hibbs; and grandson T.J. Whittington.
In keeping with Charlie’s wishes, all services and burial will be private at a later date.
