

Mr. Fields was born December 08, 1941 in Letcher County, KY., the son of the late Byrd O’Rear and Mary Miller Fields.
He married Alice Hilderbrand September 15, 1962 in Columbus, IN. and she survives.
Mr. Fields was a foreman at Golden Foundry for thirty-five years.
He was an awesome bluegrass musician. He dearly loved his grandchildren, great grandchildren and family. Mr. Fields was a fisherman and a civil war historian.
The funeral service celebrating the life of Mr. Fields will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. Monday, June 25, 2012 at Myers-Reed Chapel on 25th St. with Brother F. Doran Chambers officiating.
Calling hours will be from 1:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M. on Sunday and from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the service on Monday.
Burial will be at Flatrock Baptist Cemetery.

Along with his wife of forty-nine years, Mr. Fields is also survived by a daughter, Tammy (Bruce) Zaring of Columbus, IN.; two sons, John (Stacy) Fields and Winston C. (Amy) Fields both of Columbus, IN.; twelve grandchildren and three great granddaughters.
Along with his parents, Mr. Fields was also preceded in death by two granddaughters, Erica and Elizabeth Fields; three brothers, Charles, Wayne and Eugene Fields; and four sisters, Evelyn Hilderbrand, Helen Huff, Grace Cornett and June Fields.
