David Robert Moss

David R. Moss, 65, passed away peacefully on August 8, 2019 in Ormond Beach, Florida surrounded by his family. David was born October 27, 1953 the son of David Lee Moss and Patricia Lee Moss. Survivors include his wife of 48 years and sweetheart since he was 12, Linda Moss; daughter, Angie Ward (Chris); daughter, Amanda Moss (Allen); grandson, Devin Renner; grandson, Michael Ward; granddaughter, Morgan Renner; brothers, Randy Moss, Roger Moss, Donnie Moss, all of Columbus, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his father, David Lee Moss; his mother, Patricia Lee Moss; and his sister, Lisa M. Moss. David was a veteran of the US Army and Army National Guard. He was a member of the VFW, American Legion, Moose Lodge, and the Eagles. David loved to take care of his family. He could do anything and was the first one to get a call if anyone needed help with anything. And he was always happy to do it. His granddaughter called him Google because he seemed to know everything. There was never a dull moment with him. He loved to have a good time and he was so funny. He had funny words of wisdom for every occasion. To name a few, never turn your back on the ocean, float like a seal, never give, show me a good loser and I’ll show you a loser. He loved spending time in Florida riding his motorcycle and spending time with his wife and friends. He wanted to make sure everyone had fun at all times. But family was his favorite. He worked construction with his brothers and his sister throughout his life. He loved Sunday dinner with his wife, kids, and grandkids. Spending time with his wife and grandkids and taking them on trips and adventures meant the world to him. He has left us all with a lifetime of stories and memories. The birth and death of David are not as relevant as all the days he lived life to the fullest and on his own terms between those dates. And we are all honored to have been a part of it. He impacted so many people and will never be forgotten. A Funeral Service for David will be held Friday, August 16 11 a.m. at Myers-Reed Chapel with Pastor Tracy McIntyre officiating. Burial will follow at Garland Brook Cemetery. A Visitation will be held Thursday, August 15 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Myers-Reed Chapel is serving the Moss Family
