I'm so sorry to have just now learned of David's passing. My memories with David stretch back to our high school years when we played music together, often practicing in the back of his Chevy van as he was always on the move from school where he worked distributive ed. at Cummins to teaching at Tom Picketts to working evenings for his Dad's janitorial service.

He was both the hardest working and most fun guy from that time that I remember.
In more recent years we'd see one another at the many Farmers Markets here in Indianapolis that he would work marketing his many tasteful wines with a personal flair that always attracted the longest lines at each event. He always kept a few "Calypso Breeze" bottles back for me at the Binford Farmers Market event. Rest In Peace my good friend.

My sincere condolences to all of Dave's family. I had the pleasure of knowing Dave going back to 9th grade at Central Middle School. We were in drafting class together. Dave loved reciting Bill Cosby stand up routines from records. He always keep the class in stiches and how we enjoyed his big laugh. He made everyone around him feel good and happy. He had no enemies, only admirers!
I later reconnected with Dave in drafting at Cummins back 28 years ago (1990) when I hired in. Dave was one our GD & T experts and a very knowledgeable Journeyman Draftsman. Dave had not changed much during all that time. Except Dave was now married and father. He would share with me from time to time. He was a dedicated husband and father who was so proud of his family. He was also a man who knew the Holy Scriptures and loved to share his faith with me.
I think the thing that stands out the most to me besides of course his laugh and sense of humor, was how he would listen to you and made you feel like every word you said was important. He made you feel like somebody.
He was my counselor, my friend and just a GREAT man we all will miss dearly.
May God bless his family during this time of sorrow.
