Dorothy F Mann

Dorothy F. Mann, 97, passed away Thursday, July 30 at Silver Oaks Health Campus. Dorothy was born on August 12, 1922, in Hancock County, Kentucky. She was the daughter of Richard and Nelia Fuqua. Dorothy married Joseph Woodrow Wilson in 1940. They were married for fifty-eight years and had three children. In 2000, she married again to George Mann. He preceded her in death in 2014. She was the valedictorian of her 1940 graduating class from Pellville High School in Pellville, Kentucky. After her children were raised, she attended Kentucky Wesleyan College, and earned her Bachelor's degree from Indiana University. She served as school librarian at Triton High School in Bourbon, Indiana. Dorothy faithfully attended Asbury United Methodist Church for many years. She enjoyed working crossword puzzles and loved spending time with her family. She was an avid traveler and especially enjoyed going on cruises. Survivors include her children, Larry (Ellen) Wilson of Beaverton, Michigan, and Linda (Gary) Young of Columbus, Indiana; grandchildren, Grant (Pauline) Moellenkamp of Columbus, Ohio, Chad (Kathy) Young of Dublin, Ohio, and Jordan (Elisabeth) Young of Indianapolis, Indiana; great-grandchildren, Alexandra Moellenkamp (Sam) Mullins of Pataskala, Ohio, Elizabeth and Olivia Moellenkamp, both of Columbus, Ohio, and Gemma and Vivienne Young, both of Dublin, Ohio; four great-great grandsons; sister, Martha (Jeremiah) Pitts of Rockport, Indiana; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Patricia Ann Runner in 1988; husband, Joseph Wilson in 1998; and husband, George Mann in 2014; and four brothers, Glenn, Murray, John, and Norman Fuqua, and sister, Naomi. A private graveside service for Dorothy will be held at Garland Brook Cemetery. Memorial donations in her name may be made to Asbury United Methodist Church or Our Hospice of South Central Indiana. Myers-Reed Chapel is serving Dorothy's family.
