Eddie Lee Shultz

November 14, 1935February 2, 2018

Eddie Lee Shultz, 82, of Columbus, died unexpectedly on Friday, February 2, 2018 at IU Health Methodist Hospital. Eddie was currently employed by Wal-Mart, working in the Hardware department. He had also retired from Cummins in 1987 after 31 years of employment. Eddie also enjoyed watching wrestling and going to flea markets. He was preceded in death by his parents, Irvin and Adela (Robinson) Shultz; an infant son, Glen Shultz; and a brother, Leroy Shultz. Survivors include his loving children, Larry Shultz, Tom Shultz, Donna Hart and Eddie Lee Shultz, Jr., all of Columbus; brothers, Don Shultz of Florida and David Shultz of Columbus; grandchildren, Adrien Stewart, Megan Hart and Morgan Hart; seven great-grandchildren; and former wife, Earlene Shultz. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 9, 2018 at Hathaway-Myers Chapel. Burial will follow at Phillips Cemetery, Freetown. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday and 10-11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. The family will receive online condolences at: www.Hathaway-Myers.com. Hathaway-Myers Chapel is serving the Shultz family.

Just heard about Eddie this evening. I am so sorry to hear about his passing. I was a former co-worker of his from Walmart. He always made me laugh. And, I loved his peanut butter fudge. RIP my friend.

So sorry for your lost he will be missed I love going to Walmart and going to the hardware store just to see him cuz they always put a smile on your face no matter how bad day if you were having walmart Hardware won't be the same

So sorry to hear about your dad and family member. He was a good neighbor for many years. I remember going to your house and visit and Eddie was always a cut up. Larry, Tommy and Donna remember the good times that you had with your dad. GOD will see you thru this time of sorrow and give you the grace that each of you will need. GOD bless the whole family.
