Mrs. Bailey was born October 25, 1929 in Indianapolis, the daughter of Frank and Corrine Forler Mitchell. She married Robert E. Bailey on November 23, 1950 in Seymour, Indiana; he preceded her in death March 11, 2007. Also preceding her in death were her parents; brother, Harold Mitchell; sister, Maxine Greeman; brother, George Arnold; daughter, Susan Parker on October 21, 2001.
Mrs. Bailey was the Guidance Secretary at Columbus East High School from its opening in 1972 until her retirement in 1993. She was a member of St. Bartholomew Catholic Church. She enjoyed traveling was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her brother, William “Bud” Mitchell of Saraland, Alabama; son, Tim (Janet) Bailey of Howell, Michigan; son-in-law, Richard L. Parker of Tipton, Indiana; grandchildren, Abigal Parker Kindelsperger of Chicago, IL, Hannah Bailey of Royal Oak, MI, Mitchell Bailey of Grand Rapids, MI, Wil Bailey of East Lansing, MI; great granddaughter, Mira Kindelsperger of Chicago, IL; several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 26, 2018, at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church with Father James Brockmeier officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to service time at the church. Burial will follow at Garland Brook Cemetery. Online condolence may be sent to the family at www.myers-reed.com.
