George William “Bill” Kitzinger, 68, of Indianapolis died of natural causes at his home early on April 2, 2012.

Born September 19, 1943 in Columbus, Indiana, Bill was the son of George Chester Kitzinger and Bernadine Littiken Kitzinger. He was preceded in death by his only sister Patricia Kitzinger Amaral. He married Dianna L. Norman on July 1, 1967. She survives.

Growing up in St. Bartholomew's parish in Columbus, I really didn't know Bill that well, as he was seven years younger than I. However, I have many fond memories of Chester and Bernadine, having sung in the St. Bartholomew Choir for many years. Bernadine was the only person that I ever knew that could play "Tea for Two" and make it sound like a religious hymn. I'm glad they were part of my life for so long.

Too many good times remembered to shed tears of sorrow.
Rest peacefully, finally pain free away from that terrible funk you've been in. I'll be waiting reports regarding what it's like on Planet Zog. When next in Columbus I'll look you up at Garland-Brook. Memories of "Jazz Sounds in the Night","Jazz Direction 70". Dalton & Payne back-room after hours jazz fests. Those memories will live with me forever.
Jayson & Tia, you're the strength now. My comforting thoughts for you and yours.

Bill and I spent many years together at Dalton's and he was a true friend
I have thought of him often over the years , but we lost touch a while back.
I will always rememember him and he truly will be missed. Anyone else remember the big green Buick?

My cousin Bill and I grew up together, but haven't seen each other since 1965. I remeber lots of great family times at my grandmother, Alberta Littiken Elliot's house. Keeping those happy memories helps us get through losing a loved one.
