

Mrs. Mitchell formerly worked on the line and as a presser at Roviar Shirt Factory. She was a member of Switzer Baptist Church in Switzer, Ky., and loved to bowl, play bingo, go shopping and being with people and family she loved.
A graveside service will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Friday in Section 83 at Garland Brook Cemetery. Calling will be Friday from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Hathaway-Myers chapel, 1022 Pearl St.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of South Central Indiana.

Born in Lincoln County, Ky., May 19, 1921, Mrs. Mitchell was the daughter of Albert David and Elizabeth Lowery Sanders. She married Franklin Mitchell Sept. 3, 1938, in Frankfort, Ky. He preceded her in death, Dec. 13, 1996.
Survivors include a daughter, Juanita (Charles) Swengel of Elizabethtown; sons, Michael David Mitchell of Columbus and Gary C. (Carlotta) Mitchell of Louisville; three half brothers; one half sister; grandchildren, Danny Swengel of Elizabethtown, C. Tommy Swengel Jr. of Tampico, Cindy (Dave) McMath of Fishers, Steven (Kayla) Mitchell of Louisville, David Mitchell of Taylorsville, Ryan Mitchell of Columbus and Holly (Phil) Olmstead of Grand Rapids, MI; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, son, Eugene A. Mitchell, and a great-grandson.
