I met Ilene at one of her doctor's offices. Seeing her on my schedule brightened my day immediately. She was always so sweet and I could've spent all day talking her. I'm going to miss her a lot.

Ilene was one of the sweetest ladies I’ve ever met. We worked together at Dolly Madison, she was always kind and fun to work with.
When we had pitch-in dinners, she often brought peanut butter fudge because everyone loved it so much. I’d have to sneak a couple of pieces or it’d all be gone by break time. It was the best I’ve ever eaten.
I remember her being so ticklish on her elbows too.
She will be missed. God bless your family.

i'm not sure if many know but i had a mom but never a mother until God joined me with Bobby Ray, Bob and Ilene treated me just like one of their own. I have always said they were my parent not by marrige but by love, never was their a time where Mom would not listen to me about many things in my life ,some i'm sure she didn't want to hear. she never ever failed to give me a hug when i needed it and some of the soundest advice i was ever given. we enjoyed many bantering moments, her coin phrase to me: Aw now Tammy dont start that(usually when i was picking on her). i will miss her greatly. i told her many times she was my momma. thank goodness .I now have two holes in my heart that can never be filled.one for her and one for Pop.

To the entire Lawson family— we are so saddened to hear of Aunt Siddy’s passing but grateful that the Lord chose to call her home in her sleep like Muriel. If ever a woman was a Proverbs 31 woman and mother it was Siddy. We loved her sense of humor, her hugs, her smile, her genuine interest in the lives of those she loved— she always wanted to know “what’s up?” With you. She was a fierce mama bear, and could make two ends meet pretty darn well. I remember all the stories of you boys and sis growing up and how she loved to tell them. When I think of Ilene— I think of smiles and laughter. She had an abundance of both. She was grace embodied and we will miss her. I expect Uncle Bob was pacing the gates waiting for her. She is now in her heavenly home and reunited with many she loved. We will miss you Aunt Siddy— you were a woman of grace. Love, Kelli Sue

I loved this Lady. The one thing she said to me that i will always remember, "is getting old is like being pregnant... You can hide it for awhile but then it shows." Her trials and worries are over.

There are more memories than I could ever share! Thank you for the love you showed us! From birthday parties, beach vacations, Christmas, dinners with the best soup beans, cornbread, fried potatoes, and peach dumpling for dessert, and everyday in between you filled our lives with laughter, wiped away our tears, and always had an answer, even if we didn't ask the question! I love you more than you will ever know. Thank you for the legacy you helped create, we will work hard to continue to make you proud!
