Irene Jocelyn Wagner
July 18, 1936 – September 13, 2020

Irene Wagner, 84, of Columbus, Indiana passed away peacefully on September 13, 2020 at Keepsake Village.
Irene was born in Covington, Kentucky to Elmer and Marian Stone on July 18, 1936. She married Charles Wagner on June 25, 1955 in Osgood Indiana and they recently celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary.
She retired early from Arvin Industries to raise a family. She enjoyed bowling, was an avid golfer, loved spending time with her grandchildren and traveling the world with her husband, family and friends. She and her husband enjoyed spending their winters in Florida.
Survivors include her husband Charles Wagner of Columbus; children Wendy (Steve) Pein of Columbus and Charlene (Scott) Perez of Bloomington; grandchildren William Mayhew, Mark Mayhew, Maia Perez and Ava Perez.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother Russell Stone; sisters Laverne Stone, Valerie Sprague, Beverly Fisher, Marian Hyatt, Phyllis Miller, Dolores Syrocki, Shirley Nolan.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 16 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Myers-Reed Chapel in Columbus. In keeping with CDC and Indiana guidelines, social distancing must be followed and masks are suggested. You may also be asked to wait outside due to the social distanced capacity of the funeral home.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 17 at 11:30 a.m. at Saint Bartholomew Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Garland Brook Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Alzheimers Association .
