August 23, 1949November 26, 2019

On Tuesday, November 26 2019, with grace and dignity, James H. Miracle passed away. A Funeral Service for James will be held Tuesday, December 3, 2019 at 12 p.m. at Myers-Reed Chapel. Visitation will be held Monday, December 2 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Additional visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. Cremation is planned following the service. James was born on August 23, 1949 to the late Annie (Fuson) and Paris Miracle. He was the youngest of 8 children. He was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Mildred, Pauline, and Sue James; and his brothers, Sherman, Alva, and Troy. He is survived by his daughters Alisha MIracle and Lela Clark; his grandsons, Braden Cusano and Jackson Scalf; his brother Roy (Margaret) Miracle; and his sisters, Wanda (Ron) Jaggers and Christine Griese. After High School, James was drafted into the military and chose to be a member of the United States Air Force. He proudly served his country for twenty years. After retiring, he returned to Columbus and was hired as one of the original eight managers at NTN Driveshaft. He worked there for the next 28 years, after which he happily retired, for good. Most weekends, James was spending time with his daughter, grandsons, girlfriend Julie Zeigler, her grandson Jaxson, and his niece, Lesa (Paul) Hankins. He loved to have them over for cookouts and bonfires. James also LOVED to fish. Any chance he got, he hooked his boat up and headed to Hardy Lake. He taught Alisha and his grandsons to fish and got pretty cranky when they out-fished him. He also loved to visit with his family and friends over breakfast and a cup of coffee. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Wounded Warrior Project at www.woundedwarriorproject.com. Online Condolences may be made to the family at www.Myers-Reed.com. I so sorry for your loss. Mr. Jim as I called him was my friend and I worked for him at NTN Driveshaft for over 6 years. Many wonderful memories I have of him.

I used to landscape for Jim at his house in Rosstown. He did not think my lines were straight enough and I was relieved of my duties after one mow on the Dixon zero turn.

I had the pleasure of knowing and working with Jim for many years. He was always the greatest person to all, in and outside of work. My wife and I loved working with he and Julie and everyone on Thanksgiving Day! Jim is one great soul and will be sadly missed.

I first met Jim when he was about eleven or twelve and I was three years younger. He and his family moved into our east Columbus neighborhood and he and I were instantly friends. We spent many hours running up and down Clifty Creek running our dogs and just being kids. He and his older brother, Alvie, and I and some of the other neighborhood kids played a lot of ball back in those days....oh, when I sit and reminisce about those good ol days, even now, it brings both a smile and a tear...
Rest In Peace my dear friend.

I met Jim through his daughter Alisha just a couple years ago. He struck me as a kind and gentle man who loved his family. I loved the Facebook pictures he would post of the stream, the trees, and wildlife around his home. You could tell he was very happy there. I loved the way he watched over Alisha . We all should have a father like him. Rest In Peace Jim. I know you are watching over her still!
