

Mrs. Chandler had been choral director at Central and Northside Middle Schools and a music teacher at Columbus Christian School, retiring in 1983. She also taught in the music department at Cincinnati Bible Seminary and gave private lessons in piano, violin and voice.
She attended Cincinnati Bible Seminary, earned two bachelor’s degrees from Indiana University School of Music and a master’s degree from Jordan College of Music at Butler University.
She was a member of Garden City Church of Christ, a former member of First Christian Church, a life member of Indiana University Alumni Association and Phi Kappa Lambda Music Honorary Society, former president of the Indiana University School of Music Alumni Association and a former member of Columbus Symphony Orchestra.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Myers-Reed Chapel on 25th Street with calling from 11:30 a.m. until service time. Virgil Clotfelter will officiate. Entombment will be at Garland Brook Mausoleum.

Born in Indianapolis, Aug. 4, 1928, Mrs. Chandler was the daughter of Raymond C. and Blanche Tansey Bray. She married George F. Chandler Feb. 16, 1974, in Columbus. He preceded her in death Dec. 24, 1997.
Mrs. Chandler is survived by nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
