Born on July 2, 1942, in Columbus, Indiana, Jerry was the son of Homer and Cassie Ima Jean (Wilbur) Reedy, who preceded him in death. A man of many talents and interests, Jerry lived a full and vibrant life. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking, hunting, metalworking, race car driving, and competitive shooting. Whether in the shop, out in nature, or on the track, he lived life with passion and purpose.
In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his son, Tim Weber; sister, Carla Erwin; brother, Bill Knapp; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 57 years, Glenda Jean Reedy; his children, Peach Whitehead, Tom Weber, Michael Reedy, Tammy Williams, David L. Reedy, and Ashley Reedy; sister, Joyce Konradi; 11 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. His legacy lives on in the many lives he touched through his deep love for family and his enduring work ethic.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, July 17, 2025, at Myers-Reed Chapel with Rev. Gerald Hancock officiating. Burial will follow at Flat Rock Baptist Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home prior to the service, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
Jerry will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
