

He was born January 19th, 1935 in Anderson, IN, the son of Fred and Wanda (Gwinn) Clark.
Larry married Janey Essex, daughter of Joe and Sara Essex on Aug. 25th, 1956. They celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary this year.
Larry was a graduate of Franklin College with an Undergraduate in Business Administration. He received his Master’s Degree at Butler University. During Franklin College, he was Phi Delta Theta and four year champion of Franklin College Table Tennis.
Mr. Clark began his career at Golden Foundry as Personnel Manager for 15 years. Larry then joined Product Engineering as Director of Personnel and Purchasing Agent. He later joined Nice-Pack as Personnel Manager for 13 years. Afterwards with Green Thumb for 7 years before retiring. After retiring Larry taught at Job Corp as an Academy Instructor and substitute teacher of BCSC.
Larry served in the United States Airforce for 6 years at several military bases in the United States.
Larry was very passionate about Table Tennis and established The Columbus Table Tennis League. He was a certified Table Tennis Coach for the USA Table Tennis Association. Over the years, he qualified five times in the World Senior Olympics with one year finishing in the top ten.
Larry was also a certified Methodist Layman Minister and a member of the First United Methodist Church. He was also Head Usher and Home Visitation Minister for many years.
Survivors include his wife Janey (Essex), son Kent Clark of Connecticut, son Chris Clark (Gabi) of Whiteland, daughter Kimberly Maze (Darin) of Columbus. Grandchildren Erinn Sutton Musgrove (Michael) of Mooresville, and Zachary Sutton of Columbus. Sisters Pam Laskerr and Jackie Manley both of Fort Myers, Florida.
Services will be held at Hathaway~ Myers on Pearl Street. Visiting hours will be Tuesday, Dec. 26th, 2017 from 4pm to 6pm and Wednesday, Dec.27th, 2017 from 1pm to 2pm. The service will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 27th, 2017 at 2pm with Pastor David Burnett officiating. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.hathaway-myers.com.
