

Larry was born in Columbus, IN to James and Mary (Bush) Thompson. He married Phyllis J. Thompson (Hulse) on November 4, 1989. Together they owned and operated The Gnawbone Flea Market in Brown County, IN.
Larry lived a life that was anything but ordinary. He was an aircraft mechanic during the Vietnam War, loved traveling with his wife, woodworking, playing guitar, and hunting morel mushrooms.
Above all, Larry dearly loved his dog, Monkey Man and lived life on his own terms. Leaving behind countless stories, laughter, and friendships that will not be forgotten.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife of 31 years, his best friend and brother Jerry “Bear” Thompson, other siblings James Thompson, Patricia Thompson, Gary “Bub” Thompson, Cherry Fay Jaggers, Sherry L. Dobbs, one grandson David Madison, one great-grandson Hendricks Dunn, and six nieces and nephews.
He is survived by his children Carol Dunn, Karen Brockman, Stacey Daniel, James A. Thompson, Sherry S. Thompson, Melody Robertson, Melissa Bryant. Fifteen grandchildren. Eleven great-grandchildren. His sisters, Mary Wood, Terri Katie Thompson-Hall, and Sister-in-Law Mary Thompson and many nieces and nephews.
In keeping with Larry’s wishes, cremation will take place.
Friends and Family will be notified of a future celebration of life.
