Mark E. Davis

Mark E. Davis, 58, of Columbus died 2:30 p.m. Friday, June 15, 2018, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility. Mark was born in Reading, Ohio July 3, 1959 the son of Edward L. and Betty Joan Griffin Davis. He married Lynnetta “Nita” Phillips, she survives. He was a Collision Repair Technician for Bob Poynter GM in Seymour for 18 years. He was a 1977 graduate of Columbus East High School, very active in Boy Scout Troop 125. He attended Westside Community Church, loved riding his Harley-Davidson motor bike, loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, euchre, playing pool and especially spending time with his kids, family and friends. Mark is survived by his wife Lynnetta “Nita” Davis; sons Dylan Lee and Devan Matthew Davis of Columbus; father Edward Davis of Columbus; brother, Anthony “Tony” (Shelia) Davis of Columbus. He was preceded in death by his mother; sister, Debra D. Davis; brother, Larry G. Davis. Funeral service will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Myers~Reed Chapel on 25th Street with Pastors Gary Satterly and Dennis Aud officiating. Visitation will be 5 ~ 8 p.m. Friday and noon to service time Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Bethel Baptist Cemetery.
