

Born September 5, 1930, in Warren County, Indiana, she was the daughter of Sylvan L. and Mary E. (Hurley) Miller. Mary Jo spent most of her life in Columbus before moving to Milton two years ago to live with her daughter.
A devoted homemaker, Mary Jo was known for her love of family, her joy in visiting the casino, and her lifelong passion for bowling. She was a proud member of the Indiana Women’s Bowlers Hall of Fame, where her talent and dedication to the sport were recognized and celebrated.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Perry, in 2008; a daughter, Lisa Moffatt; and her siblings, Maxine Miller, Max Miller, Hurley Miller, Betty Sewell, and Marilyn Howard; and a son-in-law, Jim Wilson.
She is survived by her daughters, Nancy Wilson of Columbus and Vicki (Rick) Thompson of Milton, KY; son-in-law, Billy Moffatt of Columbus; grandchildren, Gavin (Sonja) Wilson of Columbus, Kyra (Brent) Jewell of Scipio, Justin (Summer) Arnholt of Columbus, Stacia (Chad) Day of Scipio, Joss (Angel) Moffatt of Uniontown, Kelly Thompson of Columbus, and Scott Thompson of Milton. Also surviving are her great-grandchildren, Caitlin Wilson, Madeline Wilson, Thane Wilson, Seth Wilson, Mia Wilson, Lexie Arnholt, Lydia Arnholt, Lillie Arnholt, Ryker Jewell, Ava Day, Jackson Day, Brayden Wise, Alec Wise, Sydney Wise, and Emma McDaniel.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 22, 2025, at Myers-Reed Chapel. A graveside service will immediately follow at Garland Brook Cemetery with Pastor Robert Vester officiating.
