Norma was born in Columbus December 21, 1927, the daughter of Cecil and Ruth Pruitt Ogilvie. She married Ward A. McCarty September 23, 1951 at the First Christian Church in Columbus.
She was an Administrative Assistant for many years at Cummins Engine Company. She was a member of the Bible Church of Columbus. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, I.U. football and basketball and her family was very important in her life.
She is survived by daughters, Tammy (Gary) Seymour of Seymour and Mary Ann (Tyrone Tuttle) McCarty of Seymour; sister, Betty Nolting of Columbus; grandchildren, Craig (Kala) McCarty of Whiteland, IN, Scott McCarty of Dallas, TX, Matt and Brett Boilanger of Columbus; great grandchild, Camrin McCarty of Whiteland, IN.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and her son, Michael McCarty.
