Opal was born in Brown County June 17, 1918, the daughter of William and Nora Sturgeon Huber. She married Robert E. Enochs June 18, 1953; he preceded her in death August 25, 1997.
She was a member of First Christian Church in Columbus, active in church Bible Study Group and Dorcus Circle. She liked to read and enjoyed crafts. She liked gospel music and was a devoted Johnny Cash fan. She worked 16 years for Arvin Industries and enjoyed volunteering for the Red Cross.
Survivors include her daughters, Lana (Philip) Reinhard of Columbus and Beverly Wood of Terre Haute; Step-son, Steve Enochs of Terre Haute; step-daughter, Margie Faure of Terre Haute; sister, Betty Woods of Nashville, In; many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Shirley Adams.
A private graveside service will be conducted Friday at Garland Brook Cemetery with Pastor David Woods officiating. There will be no visitation. Online condolences may be sent to www.myers-reed.com.
