Otis Webb

Otis lived a full life marked by family, service, hard work, and a genuine appreciation for the things that brought him joy. He was the son of Broadus and Rose Webb and was preceded in death by his parents and six siblings, and his beloved wife, Sue Webb. Otis and Sue shared 51 years of marriage until her passing in 2015. Together they built a life and family filled with many wonderful memories.

He is survived by his two sons, Doug Webb and his wife, Noelle, and Rick Webb and his wife, JJ. Otis was also a proud grandfather to seven grandchildren and great-grandfather to three great-grandchildren. His family was an important part of his life, and the memories they created together will continue to be treasured for generations.

Otis proudly served as a member of the Army National Guard. He later built a long career with Cummins Inc., where he worked as an engineer until his retirement.

Throughout his life, Otis had many interests and talents. He had a passion for cars and especially enjoyed driving his Corvette and taking it to car shows. He was also a talented woodcarver, creating many beautiful wall hangings that will remain lasting reminders of his creativity, patience, and craftsmanship.

But perhaps Otis was most at peace when he was in the woods. He loved nature and spent many happy hours hunting and fishing. Of all the places he enjoyed, Millers Ridge held a special place in his heart. It was a place where he could enjoy the quiet of the outdoors and the natural world he loved so much.

More than his career, his hobbies, or the things he created, Otis will be remembered for the person he was. His kindness, warm spirit, and the joy he brought to so many people will be his lasting legacy. Those who knew and loved him will remember the happiness he shared, the memories he created, and the simple ways he made the lives of those around him better.

Otis leaves behind a life well lived and a family who will carry his memory with them always. May the woods be peaceful, the fish be biting, and the road ahead be open for one more drive.

A Celebration of Otis’ Life will be held at 6:00 p.m. Friday, September 18, 2026, at Myers-Reed Chapel, with Rev. Daryl Gressel officiating. Friends will be received at the funeral home beginning at 4:00 p.m. until the time of service.

Otis will be laid to rest at a later date at Garland Brook Cemetery.
