

Bill was born Feb. 2, 1957, in Seymour, the son of George and Mary McCart Zimmerman. He married Trudy Palmer on April 27, 1983, in Springfield, Tennessee; she survives.
He retired after 27 years from Labor Union Local #741. He attended Columbus First Assembly, a member and past master of Jackson Masonic Lodge in Seymour. He loved motorcycles, racing, go-carts and especially loved his dogs. Bill had a passion for life and loved to go Florida and soak in the sun. He was an accomplished wood worker.
Survivors include his wife, Trudy of Greensburg; son, Paul William “Billy” Zimmerman II of Shelburn, Indiana; daughter, Kimberly (Pete) Maxwell of Greensburg; sisters, Connie (Joe) Wayman of Seymour, Donna (Gary) Boebinger of Nashville and Anna (Dan) Mousa of Seymour; brothers, Jeffrey (Teresa) Dyer of Seymour and Scott Dyer of Las Vegas, Nevada; grandchildren, Emma Le Zimmerman, Gracie and Grainger Maxwell.
He was preceded in death by his parents; step-father, William “Bill” Dyer; brother, Eddie Zimmerman; and sister, Jewell Beier.
The funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Myers-Reed Chapel on 25th Street with the Rev. Rick Glowacki officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 9:30 a.m. to service time Thursday. A Masonic Memorial service will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home Wednesday. Burial will be in Garland Brook Cemetery.
