

Mr. Butler was born May 23, 1930 in Columbus, IN. the son of the late Raymond R. and Myra K. Hedrick Butler.
He married Thelma J. Simmons December 31, 1953 in Hope, IN. and she survives.
Mr. Butler had owned and operated Butler Vending, Northern Paint & Supply and Nichols Body Company.
He was a lifelong resident of Columbus, IN. and was a summer resident of Lake Wawasee since 1974. He enjoyed boating and working on wooden boats.
Mr. Butler was a member of First United Methodist Church and the Columbus Elks Lodge.
The funeral service celebrating the life of Mr. Butler will be conducted at 11:00 am Monday, February 17, 2014 at Hathaway-Myers Chapel on Pearl St. with Rev. Chris Lantz officiating.
Calling hours will be from 2:00 pm until 6:00 pm Sunday and from 10:00 am until the time of the service on Monday.
Burial will be in the Garland Brook Cemetery.

Along with his wife of 60 years, Mr. Butler is also survived by a daughter, Kathy J. (Don) Estepp of Carmel, IN.; a son, Raymond C. (Janie) Butler of Columbus, IN.; three grandsons, Raymond S. (Crystal) Butler of Columbus, IN., Harrison Estepp of Plainfield, IL. and Jacob Estepp of Carmel, IN.; a granddaughter, Katie (Mark) Fabis of Sydney, Australia; and two great grandsons, Lincoln Fabis of Sydney, Australia and Raymond J. Butler of Columbus, IN.
