Rebecca "Becky" Jane Tout Harrison

January 15, 1946October 11, 2021

Rebecca (Becky) Jane Tout Harrison passed from this life peacefully in her sleep Monday October 11, 2021. Becky was born January 15, 1946 in Cumberland, Maryland and adopted by Sally and Hernley Tout of Greenwood, Indiana. Becky graduated from Southport High School in 1964, and from Indiana University School of Nursing in 1969. She is survived by her birth mother, Martha Keith, her husband of 53 years, Patrick Woods (Woody) Harrison, her daughter Heather Ann Harrison Dryden (Jeff Dryden), and her son Heath Aaron Harrison (Alicia Harrison). Becky had four grandchildren: Willem de Waal Dryden, Molly Jane Dryden, Rachel Danae Harrison, and Heath Andrew Harrison. She is also survived by her sister, Judy Snyder, and her two nieces Stacy Snyder, and Shawny Snyder Greenstein. She was preceded in death by her birth father, Bo Cain; adopted parents, Hernley Rush Tout and Sally Siler Tout. Becky was a loving, kind, and faithful wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and friend to so many. She was a long time Bible Study Fellowship Leader, steadfast Christian, and a lover of animals as evidenced of her ownership of many dogs over the years that she loved with all of her heart. Based on who she was, what she did, and how she lived, she is sure to hear the most precious words any Christian ever wants to hear from their Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, “Well done thou good and faithful servant… enter into your rest”. Becky will be missed, but we know she’s whole, she’s home, and she’s reunited with her creator. There will be a Celebration of Life Ceremony held at Myers - Reed Chapel 3729 E. 25th St., Columbus IN 47203 at 2 PM on Friday October 15, 2021. So thankful to have met Becky years ago when she was able to come to our families vacuum store. I always admired how graceful and kind she was. She shared how she loved her family and was always keeping them in her prayers.

Then when she heard our son had Leukemia she sent cards and called to tell me she was keeping him in her prayers. The compassion and caring thoughts will forever be in my heart. Know she heard the Lord say “Well done, good and faithful servant."

So sorry for your loss and praying for God's comfort for all of you too. Debbie Barkes

Woody, Heather & Heath -

I'm so sorry to hear of Becky's passing. She was a beautiful, delightful and kind woman - and I have so many fond memories of our families' annual gatherings for IU football games.

Sending you hugs & love during this difficult time - and I know she'll continually be watching over you all from above.

Much love,

I first met Rebecca when she came into the post office to mail a package to a family member. She was so easy to talk to, wonderful personality, and a great smile. When she came back she would wait so I could help her. Her kindness is what I will always remember. I am so very sorry for your loss, my deepest sympathy to all of you.

Becky was such a wonderful, caring, Christian friend! Loved visiting her for many years when we were in the same BSF classes! Our families were good friends & several of our kids were friends! I was so sorry to read of her passing in the paper this morning. She is now at peace , home with her Heavenly Father. Praying for God’s comfort, peace & strength for family & friends in coming days, weeks & months ahead. God’s blessings to all, Sandy Etnyre 🙏💕

I have many fond memories of my dear, sweet friend, Becky. She and Woody were among the first friends we had in Columbus, some 50 years ago! My husband Mike and I were in a supper/Bridge group together, as well as attended Fairlawn Presbyterian Church together.

We shared many evenings of fun and good times with Becky and Woody, and our neighborhood friends. In all the years I knew Becky, she was always a beautiful, caring, compassionate person. She was always there to listen to my cares and concerns to offer a kind of spiritual outlook that many times helped me cope.

As the years passed, I lost touch with Becky, but, miraculously reconnected when she and Woody began attending Westside Community Church! It seemed to be a "God" thing, and I was so happy to see Becky again. Then, sadly, COVID came and we lost touch once again.

I am so sorry that I was not able to reach out to her when she was suffering because I assumed she was well. I was shocked at her passing, but know she is with her Lord whom she loved.
