Roger Lee Martin

Mr. Martin was born April 04, 1943 in Seymour, IN. the son of the late Russell Lee and Esther Wineinger Martin.

He married Kristine L. Tingley April 26, 2002 in Nashville, IN. and she survives.

Roger was a United States Air Force Veteran.

He retired from AT&T where he was a technician.

Mr. Martin was a member of Surprise Christian Church (Camp Illiana), Edinburgh American Legion Post #233, National Rifle Association, National Muzzle Loading Rifle Association and a lifelong member of the Bell Conservation Club in Nineveh, IN.

Roger enjoyed traditional Folk and Celtic music, camping and woodworking among many other talents, hobbies and interests.

A memorial service celebrating the life of Mr. Martin will be conducted at 4:00 pm Saturday, October 10, 2015 at Myers-Reed Chapel-3729-25th St., Columbus, IN. 47203 with Larry Whitlock presiding.

Military Rites will be presented by members of the Edinburgh American Legion Post #233 Color Guard.

Calling hours will be from 2:00 pm until the time of the memorial service at 4:00 pm Saturday.

Private burial will be today in Garland Brook Cemetery.

Along with his wife, Kris, Roger is also survived by a son, Jerry Lee Martin of Franklin, IN.; a daughter, Amy LeAnn Temple of Seymour, IN.; a step-daughter, Laura Ruehman Bachrach of Columbus, IN.; a sister, Linda (Jim) Kamman of Seymour, IN.; and two step-grandsons, Shawn and Nick Burge both of Columbus, IN.

Along with his parents, Mr. Martin was also preceded in death by a brother, Steve Martin.
