Ruth Pauline Pittsley

Ruth Pauline Pittsley of Columbus, IN, formerly of Reading, OH, went to be with the Lord on July 16, 2026. She was born in Akron, OH on August 7, 1930, to Simon Grant and Lottie J. Davis. She married Morris B. Pittsley in Reading, OH on December 22, 1951, until his passing on December 23, 1994.

She was employed by the Andrew Jergens Company (KOA Company) for 41 years until her retirement in 1991. Her hobbies were reading and watching old movies. She is a member of the Columbus First Assembly in Columbus, Indiana and was involved in the prayer team for many years. She dedicated her life to the Lord in 1945 who she served faithfully until her passing. In addition, she taught Sunday school classes for many years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers Carl Davis of Reading, OH, Raymond (Dick) Davis of Columbus, IN, sisters Lucille Hurd of Columbus, IN and Ethel Winebrenner of Tampa, FL.

She is survived by brothers, Edward Lee and Gordon (Shirley) Davis of Columbus, IN, Donald (Renny) Davis of Seymour, IN, and Thomas (Anne) Davis of Greenwood, IN. Additionally, she is survived by numerous nephews and nieces who she loved dearly.

The funeral service will be held at 12 Noon on Friday, July 24, 2026, at Myers-Reed Chapel, with Rev. Michael Hogg officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel Baptist Cemetery, Walesboro.

Friends will also be received at the funeral home on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
