Mr. Chambers was a former employee of Chambers Vending Service. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, a member of Grandview Lake Lot Owners Association and a former member of Grandview Yacht Club.
A graveside service will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Garland Brook Cemetery with the Rev. Brian Campbell officiating. There will be no calling.
Arrangements were made by Myers-Reed Chapel on 25th Street.
Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to the Prostate Cancer Research Institute.
Born in Columbus Sept. 22, 1940, Mr. Chambers was the son of William G. and Pauline N. Chambers.
He is survived by his mother, Pauline N. Chambers of Columbus; and a nephew, Aaron Chambers of Vacaville, Calif.
He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Timothy G. Chambers.
