Vicente M. "Vince" De Oliveira

Vicente "Vince" M. De Oliveira, 66, of Columbus, died unexpectedly, Saturday morning, January 19, 2013, at his home. He was born in Joinville, Brazil, June 7, 1946, the son of the late Joao Machado De Oliveira Jr. and Adelaide Pinheiro De Oliveira. He married Ana Marie Duarte De Oliveira on July 30, 1980 in Belo Horizonte, Brazil. Since Vince and his family moved to Columbus seven years ago, he was employed by Teksid as a quality assurance engineer, working through Cummins Engine Co. He attended St. Bartholomew Catholic Church. Vince was full of life. He loved to go for walks, play golf, feed and watch birds, watch the Indianapolis 500, ride his motorcycle and be around friends and family. He is survived by his wife, Ana Maria, of Columbus; a daughter, Karolina (fiance Ryan Traver) De Oliveira of Ann Arbor, Mich.; a son, Daniel De Oliveira of Columbus; and another daughter, Livia De Oliveira of Ann Arbor, Mich. He was preceded in death by his parents. A private funeral service is planned. Calling will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Hathaway-Myers Chapel on Pearl Street.
