He was born in Bartholomew County July 5, 1943 the son of Virgil Andrew Johnson, Sr. and Lilly Mae Wright Johnson. He was a former employee of Arvin Industries.
Survivors include children, Micky (Tammy) Johnson of Columbus, Ginger Hernandez of Columbus and Jerry Johnson of Seymour; brothers, James “Buddy” (Dorothy) Johnson of Columbus, sister, Hazel Boggs of Columbus; brother, Dwight (Mary) Johnson of Franklin; 6 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild. Preceded by, parents; wife; brother.
Memorial service will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Tuesday Hathaway~Myers Chapel on Pearl Street. Calling from 1 ~ 2 p.m. Tuesday. Mr. Johnson was cremated inurnment will be private.
