Wanda Lou Ford, 82 of Taylorsville, Indiana passed away peacefully in her home on June 2, 2025, after a long battle with cancer. Wanda was born April 1, 1943 in Tompkinsville, Kentucky, to William Dow Thompson and Bedie Ann Thompson.
Wanda was a homemaker, worked at Western Electric, and the local school systems. She was an active member of the 6th Street General Baptist Church in Columbus, Indiana. Wanda loved attending church services and was always participating in church functions that supported the congregation and the local community.
She is survived by her sons, Timothy Ford (Theresa) North Port, Florida, and William Ford (April) Columbus, Indiana; and sisters, Ersie LeMaster and Adalene Walden both from Louisville, Kentucky. Wanda has seven grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Guydell Ford; her parents; and several siblings.
Visitation will be held at Myers-Reed Chapel 3729 25th Street Columbus, Indiana on Thursday, June 5th from 10AM - 12PM with a funeral service immediately following at 12 Noon. Entombment will follow at Washington Park East Cemetery, Indianapolis, Indiana.
