Although we did not know Alaina very long, she certainly knew how to make an impression - from myself and the Bone Marrow Failure and Cytopenia Team at Nationwide Children's, we are saddened by your loss. Your parental love and meticulous care of her was always evident, in every conversation and every visit. It was a pleasure to know Alaina and I wish all of you comfort and peace. Thank you for allowing us to help care for her.

I was honored to know and care for Alaina.  Whenever she came to the office, her outfit was perfectly matched and she always had a smile on her face.  She has forever touched my heart.  My prayers to Jeff, Jan and the entire family.  Thank you for sharing Alaina with me.

Where can I go to once again feel her presence, to once again be comforted by her smile and warm acceptance, or to once again get locked into her giggle mania and lose control?!! The Library? Target? TJMaxx? Gantz Park? Her neighborhood? No, and I MISS HER SOOOOO MUCH! But I know that some day, I will celebrate with her; we will dance & sing & hug FOREVER in the presence of the Lord! Thank you, Jesus, for sending Moo to be such a dear friend who taught me how to love BETTER!

I had the honor and privilege of taking care of Miss Moo on occasion when she was at NCH.  As a Respiratory Therapist I have taken care of many patients over the years and can honestly say that she received the most loving and kind care from the two of you, Jan & Jeff.  The stories you shared about her many outings, esp in IRB and the people she met were truly inspiring.  You gave her many wonderful experiences and allowed her smile to bring many people joy including me, even when I had to provide her care that was just awful.  Please be comforted in knowing you gave her the most normal life, full of love that you could have possibly given to her.  She is now in heaven smiling down at you until you meet again. I want to say how sorry I am to here about your loss. I remember  you both when I worked for SWCS. Mainly at Finland Middle School. I am so sorry to let you know I will not be able to see you for the viewing or funeral as I will be out of town visiting my dad as he is not well. My thoughts and prayers will be with for awhile.
