Albert Bury

Albert Bury Jr., age 85, died Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at home. He was born January 17, 1931 to the late Albert and Sophia Bury He was also preceded in death by his wife, Eugenia P. Bury; brother, Casimir Bury; daughters-in-law, Wendy Lee Tedmon and Kelly Casteen Bury. Albert is survived by his children, Ronald Bury, John Bury, Marilyn Bury Rice (Jeff), Glenn Bury (Jennifer Dible), and Jeanette Bury; grandchildren, James (Jenna), Audrey, and David Rice, Elizabeth, Alex, and Katy Tedmon-Bury; brother, Joseph Bury; nieces and nephews. Albert was born in Detroit, MI but grew up in Chicago, IL. He was a US Navy Veteran who served during the Korean Conflict. Albert graduated from DePaul University with a BS in Business. He was a Marketing Professional for various companies in Chicago then an Auditor for the Indiana State Board of Health. Albert was an avid reader and enjoyed music, swimming, and golf. He was a sports enthusiast particularly for Chicago teams and Purdue University where his five children graduated. A Funeral Mass will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, August 20, 2016 at the Church of the Resurrection 6300 E Dublin Granville Road, New Albany where the family will receive friends from 9 to 10 a.m. prior to the service.
