Alex S Babbitt

Alex Steven Babbitt, age 41, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away on September 19, 2026. He was born on July 10, 1985, in Columbus, Ohio, to Michael and Susan (Hanson) Babbitt. Alex was preceded in death by his wife, Marissa “Missy” Babbitt; his beloved dog and faithful companion of 17 years, Shredder; his uncles, Bill Hanson, Larry Hanson, Ronald “Buster” Hanson, and Denny Hanson; and his aunts, Janice “Jan” Rees, Margaret Marsh, and Barbara “Barb” Luckhaupt. He is survived by his parents, Michael and Susan Babbitt; his brother, Christopher “Chris” (Jennalee) Babbitt; his aunts, Sharon (Bob) Brown, Delores “Dee” (Sam) Zonak, Anita (Don) Kaiser, and Christine “Chris” (Russ) Smallwood; as well as his beloved dog, Maiden. Alex had a deep love for music and enjoyed listening to many different genres, with rock and heavy metal holding a special place in his heart. He had a creative spirit and enjoyed expressing himself through his drawings and artwork. Alex will also be remembered for his quick-witted sense of humor. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Alex’s name to a charity of the donor’s choice. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Advantage by Schoedinger – Hilltop Chapel, 3030 W. Broad St., Columbus, Ohio 43204. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m., with Pastor Tim Lee officiating. Burial will follow at Green Lawn Cemetery.
