Alfred Green

Al Green, age 78, passed away on Thursday, October 19, 2017 at the Wexner Heritage Village. Al was born in Ft. Myers, Florida on July 9, 1937 to Alfred and Christine Green. Al received his associate degree from Edison Junior College in Ft. Myers, Florida. He retired from Lakeland Regional Hospital as a manager in the food and beverage department. Al was an entrepreneur at heart. He had several businesses over the years and has stories to go with them. Al served his country proudly in the US Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the VFW of Lakeland. Al took joy in golfing, fishing, billiards, cards and collecting items he enjoyed. He will be remembered for his generous nature. Al would give his shirt off his back to help someone. Preceded in death by his wife, Patsy Green; parents, Alfred and Christine Green; siblings, Jimmy, Bobby, Joann, Mary, Sylvia; and beloved dog, Tosso. Survived by his children, Brian (Leona) Green and Kristina Green; grandchildren, Marshall and Kayla; many other relatives and friends. A candlelight vigil will be held on Sunday, October 29, 2017 at 5:00 pm to honor Al's life at 3226 Summer Glen Dr. Grove City, Ohio 43123. Memorial contributions can be made to any VFW to honor Al's service to his country.
