Alice M. Katterhenrich

Alice Margaret Katterhenrich of Grove City died on January 4, 2019. She was born August 12, 1932, in Bucyrus, OH to Clarence John and Marie Shumaker Brinkman. Alice graduated from Bucyrus High School in 1950. She married Paul Katterhenrich on July 19, 1954 in Dallas, Texas. He preceded her in death on July 21, 2004, two days after their 50th wedding anniversary. Her parents, baby daughter, and siblings: Clara Shackelford, Donna Smith, Evelyn Benham, Donald Brinkman and her brothers-in-law have preceded her in death. She is survived by three children, David (Judy) Katterhenrich of Prairie Village, KS, Beth Katterhenrich of Grove City, OH, and Laura (Rev. Ken) Scheck of Hastings, MI. Also surviving are grandchildren Lisa (Taylor) Simmermon, Stephen (Rachel) Katterhenrich and Stephen's mother, Lynn (Dwight) Seeley, Jonathan (Amelia) Shrum, Matthew (Kaleigh) Shrum, and David (Kathryn) Shrum, Ethan and Anna Scheck along with sister-in-law, Debbie Katterhenrich. Many beloved great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews survive her. Alice worked for years in two primary care medical offices. She was a beloved mother, the greatest of Omas, and a cherished friend to many. Alice was an active member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church of Grove City. Family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 PM Thursday at the Schoedinger-Norris Chapel 3920 Broadway, Grove City. Funeral service will be held 11 AM Friday, Jan. 11th at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church, 3220 Columbus St. Grove City, OH. Pastor Seth Jersild officiating. Burial will be at St. John's Cemetery in Grove City. In lieu of flowers, make memorial donations to St. John's Ev.
