

Alice Faye (Wing) Mathews, 80, of Grove City, passed away Monday, October 28, 2013, after a prolonged illness, surrounded by her family. She was born March 12, 1933 in Columbus, Ohio to the late William and Sylvia Williams. She was retired from Big Bear. Alice was a lifelong/avid bowler at Stardust Lanes. She was a member of the Grove City Church of the Nazarene where she served as a Sunday service greeter for many years. She easily made friends and was loved by everyone. The most important thing to her was family and she cherished every moment with them. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by husbands, Donald Wing and Clifford Mathews, and brother, Larry Williams. Alice is survived by loving children, Mark (Beth) Wing, Jane McMorris, Kathy Sweeney, and Michael (Cammi) Wing, Ken (Sally) Mathews, Wes (Carol) Mathews, Scott Mathews, and Virginia (Mike) Kimberling; 16 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; siblings, Bob (Ruth) Williams and Janet (Jerry) Brigner; special friend and her sweetheart, George Litchfield; and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, November 1, 2013 at the SCHOEDINGER GROVE CITY CHAPEL, 3920 Broadway, Grove City where the funeral service will be held 9:30 a.m. Saturday with Rev. Owen Stotts officiating. Family will also receive friends from 9-9:30am before her funeral. Interment Union Grove Cemetery. The family is extremely grateful for the care she received from the nurses and aides at Doctor's Hospital.
