Ali Kasraei peacefully passed into his heavenly father's care on Wednesday, November 6 at 57 years old. He is survived by his loving wife, Gita, and three lovely daughters, Shailan, Ariana, and Auva, all of Powell, Ohio, predeceased by his father and one sister and survived by his mother and four sisters.
Ali had a joy for living and his family was the center of his world. He left Iran to come to the U.S. seeking better opportunities for his family, but he never forgot where he came from. He always sought to make things better than he found them, and always had room in his heart and a seat at his table for everyone he met. Best known for his hand made koobideh or joojeh kebabs, he was the center of every event he attended, leading all to dance, eat and enjoy life as much as he did. The twinkle in his eye and his infectious smile and laughter quickly made everyone a lifelong friend.
Ali was always finding ways to help others, no matter what was needed. He always offered a helping hand, or found someone that could. He enjoyed working with his hands, whether mechanical or otherwise... he was a true problem solver. If success in life is measured by the impact one has on those around him, then Ali was one of the most successful men that ever lived. May he rest in peace.
A funeral celebrating Ali's life will be held at 12pm, Sunday, November 10, 2019 at the Schoedinger Worthington Chapel, 6699 North High Street. Interment will follow at Kingwood Memorial Park.
