Alma Ruth Mathias

Alma Ruth Mathias, born January 6, 1925. Ruth’s faith in God sustained her until she was called home into the arms of her Lord and Savior, on September 20, 2013. Beloved wife of the late Loren “Matt” Mathias. Loving mom of Susie (Pete) Moros, Denver, Colorado, Sherry (Robert) Durham, Garland, TX, Sandy (Harry Payne) Whitney, Reynoldsburg, Ohio, Loren (Tresa) Mathias, Rockwall, TX. Cherished grandma of Suzette, Marty, Tammy, Missy, Ben, Zach and Ryan, great grandma of Brandon, Daniel, Tucker, Faith and Oscar and one great great grandson, Varian. Past member of Shady Lane Presbyterian Church, Columbus, Ohio where she enjoyed quilting with the ladies. Ruth will be fondly remembered by the neighborhood ladies euchre card club where she was a member for more than 50 years. Her passion was her family and she took great delight in watching her grandkids and great grandkids in their various activities throughout the years. Family will receive friends Friday, September 27, 2013 from 11am until time of service at 1pm, at Schoedinger East Chapel, 5360 E. Livingston Ave., Columbus, OH 43232; interment to follow at Glen Rest Memorial Estate; Andrew Hoover, Celebrant. If you wish you may make a donation to the charity of your choice in memory of Ruth.
