

Amy Jo Abercrombie-Camara, 42, of Columbus, Ohio, went to heaven March 21, 2012 surrounded by family and friends. Amy was born October 28, 1969, the daughter of Milo Abercrombie and the late Susan Abercrombie-Theriot. Amy was the youngest of three siblings.
She was blessed to have known love with John Brown, of Baton Rouge, Louisiana and Ahmed Camara of Columbus, Ohio. Amy worked with people with developmental disabilities. She worked at Franklin County and RMS. Amy touched many hearts and gave herself unconditionally to the people she served. Amy Jo graduated from Manchester High School in Manchester, Ohio in 1988.
Amy is survived by her parents, Milo and Trudy Abercrombie; children, Douglas “D.J.” Brown and Felecia Abercrombie-James; nieces and nephews, Octavia, Milo Murphy, Dulcinea, Roméo, Susan Joy, and Lauren; siblings, Nara Abercrombie, Betty Abercrombie-Cordova, Katie Thompson, Theresa Krickbaum, Michelle Roush, Rick Roush, and Fred Thompson; uncle, Tony Abercrombie; and good friends, Vince Cordova; Judy Dillion and the James family; as well as many more family members and loved ones. Amy was blessed to be cared for by the Select Specialty Hospital, Minerva Park Nursing and Rehab, and Acclaim Hospice.
Family will receive Saturday, March 24, 2012 from 3 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 4 p.m. at SCHOEDINGER NORTH CHAPEL, 5554 Karl Rd., Columbus, OH. A reception will be held immediately following the services at the funeral home. To share memories of Amy, visit www.schoedinger.com.
