

She was born in Columbus, OH on October 28, 1928 to the late Clicerio and Caroline (Ricci) Conti. She grew up in the Columbus area and graduated from Sacred Heart High School class of “46. On May 15, 1954 she married the love of her life the late, Anthony “Nino” Fresco. They celebrated over 54 years before his passing in April of 2009.
Along with her husband and parents, Rita is preceded in death by her grandson, Zachary Robert; sisters, Ann, Rose, Mary, Yolanda, Olympia, and brother, Joseph.
Rita’s survivors include her children, Robert (Leila) Fresco of Hilliard, Ronald (Leslie) Fresco of Lewis Center; grandchildren, Caryl, Corinne, Haley, and Abbey; sister, Madge Browning; brother, Vincent (Janet) Conti. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews who gave unselfishly of themselves many times to help care for her.
Rita was a lifelong catholic and was a long time member of the St. Brendan the Navigator Parish. Rita also retired from Chase Bank after 23 years of dedicated service. Rita was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend, and throughout her career and life, she was influential in the lives of those who came in contact with her. Through these contacts she made a difference in their lives, and those lives are much better because of her. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
The family will be receiving friends at the Schoedinger Northwest Chapel, 1740 Zollinger Rd. Upper Arlington on Friday from 4:00pm until 8:00pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday June 4, 2011 at 10:00am at St. Brendan the Navigator. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
