

Ann Marie Chickerella passed away peacefully at home on March 3, 2021. She was born September 9, 1929 in Anna, Ohio to John and Sarah Wiessinger. She was a graduate of Anna High School and Capital University. She taught at Linden McKinley High School, Columbus City Adult Education and Gahanna High School. Ann was a kind and gentle soul who loved to watch basketball, quilt, crochet, do puzzles, read, garden, and watch the birds while sitting out on her back deck. She contributed to helping others by crocheting baby hats and booties and quilted baby blankets, all of which were contributions to the non-profit Touching Little Lives. Ann was a longtime member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Westerville. She loved her family and enjoyed family gatherings. She was preceded in death by her 2 brothers and 3 sisters, her children James Chickerella and Karen Haemmerle (Chickerella), and great granddaughter Jillian Foster. She is survived by her children Janice Chickerella and Thomas (Dani) Chickerella; Her grandchildren Gina (Craig) Van Wagner, Sarah Lehner, Joe (Taraney) Lanning, Jackie (Jonathan) Foster, Molly (Chris) Cole, Lindsey (Evan) Grimmett, Vincent (Ashley) Chickerella, and Danielle Chickerella; her great grandchildren Karen Van Wagner, Autumn Van Wagner, Holly Van Wagner, Joseph River Lanning, Nicholas Lehner, Olivia Lanning, Kamryn Lanning, John Bradley Foster, Jackson Foster, Carson Chickerella, and Oscar Cole.
Friends may call 2-4 p.m. on Sunday, March 7 at SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 6699 N High St, and a funeral service will be held at the same location at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 8. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributing to the touchinglittlelives.org non-profit.
Friends are welcome to gather with the family to celebrate the life of Ann at the home of Thomas (Dani) Chickerella after the funeral services on Monday.
