

Ann Petty Lacock, age 80, died March 16, 2011. Born October 24, 1930 in Columbus, Ohio. Preceded in death by parents, Ethan and Goldie (Imler) Petty and husband, William Walter Lacock. Ann was a 1948 graduate of North High School and a 1952 cum laude graduate of The Ohio State University where she was a member of Mirrors, Chimes, Mortar Board and the Alpha Xi Delta Sorority. She was a former primary grades teacher in several cities in the United States, including ten years at Barrington Elementary School in Upper Arlington. Ann served as a volunteer at Tremont Elementary School and Nationwide Children’s Hospital, and she was an active member of St. Alban’s Episcopal Church where a memorial service will be held at a later date. Ann was a well educated, strong, independent woman who had many dear friends dating back to North High School, The Ohio State University, and at the church she considered her second home, St. Alban’s. She is survived by her brother and his wife, Bob and Margie Petty of Pittsburgh, two nephews, David Petty and Douglas Petty and his wife, Kris Westrum, and her niece, Tracey and husband Robert Millison. A Memorial Service will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 13th, 2011 at St. Alban’s Episcopal Church, 333 S. Drexel Avenue, with The Rev. Michael Jupin officiating. There will a reception immediately following where the family will greet friends. In lieu of flowers, friends may contribute to St. Alban’s Episcopal Church, 333 S.
