Anna L. Childs

Anna L. Childs, 92, formerly of Ashtabula, died Saturday, March 17, 2012 in Columbus. She was born April 3, 1919 in Ashtabula, Ohio as Anna L. Monda, daughter of Tony and Rosa (Viva) Monda, both deceased. A longtime resident of Ashtabula, Anna attended Ashtabula City Schools, and retired from Premix Inc., in Kingsville, Ohio in 1983. She also worked at Yoder Brothers on Samuel Avenue for 23 years and also at the Ashtabula County Nursing Home for three years. She was a volunteer at the Ashtabula County Medical Center and after moving to Gahanna she worked several days a week at Wendy’s for many years. Anna belonged to Mt. Carmel Church and was a member of the Alter and Rosary Groups in Ashtabula and was also a member of St. Matthews Church in Gahanna. Anna was preceded in death by her first husband Ralph Eurez, and second husband Ralph R. Childs; brothers and sisters, Carmen, Pat, Tony, Susie, Josephine, Jennie, Nick, Thelma, Albert, Sam and son George all of Ashtabula; and son Don Eurez of Columbus. She is survived by her son Bob Eurez of Pataskala, Ohio; three step-children; 22 grandchildren from both marriages; 15 great grandchildren; and numerous other friends and loved ones. Family will receive friends from 6-8 P.M. Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST CHAPEL, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd. Additional services and burial will be handled through Ducro Funeral Home, Ashtabula.
