Anna McCracken Hartman died peacefully at home on October 29, 2011. Born March 3, 1925, Ann was one of 6 daughters and 6 sons born to the late Ada and Irvin Young. She was preceded in death by husband Leroy McCracken and son Robert McCracken; survived by husband Wallace Hartman; daughter, Carol McCracken Haas; son, Charles (Peggy) McCracken; grandsons, Eric, Brian and Matthew (Vicki) Nelson and Jeffrey McCracken; sisters, Dorothy (Dick) McKnight, Patricia Jones; brother, George (Angie) Young and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Ann retired from the Columbus Public School District and will be remembered for her love of cooking, whether it was for the Columbus school lunch room or for her family. Private services entrusted to Schoedinger East Chapel (861-6268). No flowers please. Contributions may be made to HomeReach Hospice, the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
