

Anna Adelaide Mooney, nee Stawitzke, age 92, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, October 2, 2014. She was born in Hicksville, New York on July 28, 1922 to the late John and Anna Stawitzke. She has been a resident of Columbus, Ohio since 1956. She graduated from Vineland High School in Vineland, New Jersey and Chestnut Hill College in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. She worked for Kimble Glass, Vineland, New Jersey, Eastern Regional Research Laboratory USDA, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and Roxanne Pharmaceuticals, Columbus, Ohio. She was a member of St. Agnes RC Church Women's Club, the Columbus Natural History Society, and Columbus camera clubs. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Kurt M. Mooney; brother, Frank Stawitzke; and step-son, Robert C. Mooney. She is survived by her daughter and son in-law, Joanne M. Mooney and Peter Hennes; step-son and daughter in-law, Richard P. and Joung Hyun Mooney; grandchildren, Kenneth, Matthew, Kim, and Daniel Mooney; and 7 great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at 2:00PM with visitation one hour prior at the SCHOEDINGER NORTH CHAPEL, 5554 Karl Road, Columbus, Ohio. Father Charles Cotton officiating. Anna will be laid to rest at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Vineland, New Jersey at a later date.
