Anna Mae (Johnson) Williams

Anna Mae (Johnson) Williams, age 89, of Columbus, Ohio passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus on August 3, 2013. She was born October 22, 1923 in Vivian, WV to the late Allen and Chainey (Young) Johnson; also preceded in death by her husband, Thomas H. Williams; children, Tina and Wilbur Williams; and 13 siblings. Anna was a member of Southfield Community Baptist Church where she loved singing in the choir. Anna had a beautiful spirit, exemplified in her smile and her constant humming and singing. She is survived by her children, Mary Ann, Alfred (Margaret), Robert (Rose), Harry (Therassa), John, Alfonso (Larraine) and Edward; sisters, Lola Winkfield and Ollie Menafee; brother, Samuel Johnson; generations of grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Funeral Service will be held at 10am Saturday, August 10, 2013 at Southfield Community Baptist Church, 1399 Augmont Ave., Columbus, OH 43207 where family will receive friends from 9-10am; interment to follow in Eastlawn Cemetery; Bishop H. Martin, presiding. Arrangements entrusted to Schoedinger East Chapel (861-6268).
