Anne Christine Hall, affectionately known as Annie, passed away November 15, 2018 at the age of 32. Annie was born April 1, 1986 in Columbus, Ohio to Marsha Ann (Ulrich) Hall and the late Chester William Hall Jr. She graduated from Canal Winchester High School. Annie was generous and friendly and was greatly loved. She is survived by the brightest light in her life, her seven year old son Brinxton Hall and his father, Rich Cook. Also surviving are her mother, Marsha Hall; brother, Jeremy (Natalie) Hall and their children Hudson and Evelyn; aunts and uncles: Nancy (Don) Miller, Susan (Gary) Mason, Bill Hall, Garry (Ellen) Boyd and Malcolm (Dianne) Boyd; numerous cousins and special friend Katie Kyre. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Clarence and Jean Ulrich; paternal grandparents, Austin and Vera Boyd and Uncle Jim Ulrich. Private services entrusted to Schoedinger Northeast Chapel.
Annie began writing her thoughts that she hoped would become a book to possibly help others after her first hospital stay for liver disease caused by her alcoholism. While her illnesses spiraled downward to the point that her body could no longer survive, below are her last thoughts she wrote in “Behind the Lips of a Motivated Alcoholic”…
“There is a girl inside of me that I know I want to be. She is full of energy, dedicated to her son and her son’s happiness. She is inspiring and inspired. She is smart, healthy and full of life. And I cannot reach her, because she wants alcohol more than she wants life. That, my friends, is a depressing feeling.
I want to pray to god, yet I am agnostic therefore that would make me a hypocrite. So I pray to the ocean, the moon, the sky, whatever, to become the girl I know I can, if not for myself but for my son. I will fight, and so help me higher power, I will conquer.”
Her family’s wish is that if you are reading this and you are struggling, take care of yourself and find the power within you to conquer.
